The V.smile Educational Video Game System Review
For parents who want to encourage learning through fun play, Vtech has introduced a tremendously popular video gaming system that parents can feel good about allowing their little children to play, called the V.Smile. Now, just like the big kids have their cool gaming system, children as young as 3 can also play with a fun game console system that is designed to be appropriate to their age range and suitable for fun and educational play.

The V.Smile gaming system has been such a popular hit among young children that it has expanded into a line of other V.Smile systems with different capabilities. The newest among these is the V.Motion system, which is a basic V.Smile console with special motion sensitive controllers that encourage children to be active and move about while playing their favorite games. There are also hand held versions of the V.Smile console such as the V.Smile Pocket, and the V.Smile Cyber Pocket. There’s also a V.Smile Baby Infant Development System, which uses the V.Smile name, but unlike the other V.Smile products, isn’t compatible with any of it’s namesakes.

The V.Smile game console system features a great number of different game cartridges, or “smartridges” as they’re called by the people over at Vtech. They feature characters from such popular children’s animated films and television shows such as Bob the Builder, Scooby-Doo, Go Diego Go!, The Wiggles, The Little Mermaid, Kung-Fu Panda, Finding Nemo, Cars, Ratatouille, and more. Certain smartridges are aimed at the features present in more recent V.Smile consoles such as the V.Motion. These smartridges are backwards compatible, so they can be played with earlier versions of the console system, however, the V.Motion components will be disabled so they will have limited use for play.

There are several accessories available for the V.Smile console system, such as the V.Smile Smart Keyboard, which helps teach children typing, spelling, logic, and letters. There’s also a V.Smile system available that includes a built in writing pad and stylus, as well as a joystick. A touch pad and stylus are also sold separately for other V.Smile consoles called the V.Smile Art Studio, which children can use to draw pictures which will appear on screen and allow them to edit their masterpieces with special tools and even create animations.

And there’s the V.Smiles Jammin Gym Class, which is a “soft exercise mat for interactive play, dance, and exercise”. This mat works on a similar principle to the popular Dance Dance Revolution mat for older kids. It includes 10 individual learning activities that encourage movement and fun exercise. The fun activities available with this mat help teach numbers, letters, spelling, colors, and health concepts.

And there are more accessories available and new ones coming out all the time. The V.Smile is certainly a flexible and varied tool for encouraging a fun and active learning environment for young children. It’s the kind of video game system that children will love and that parents will feel good about allowing their children to play with.

Is Maths Tutoring The Answer To A Failing Education System?

South Africa’s pass rate for mathematics is among the lowest in the world. In 2010 only 47% of learners who wrote the mathematics exam passed by obtaining 30% or above, while in 2011 only 46% passed. The multifaceted cause for the low mathematics and science pass rate include lack of resources and personnel, lack of teacher and learner commitment, lack of teacher and learner discipline, ineffective school policy and unclear government policy. In addition, mathematics is a compound subject which requires solid base knowledge to develop more complex problem solving skills. Often extra maths lessons are the only way to overcome the educational system’s shortcomings and construct a solid foundation for knowledge building.

Two additional concerns include the declining number of learners writing matric mathematics and the low minimum pass rate.

In 2010, 124 749 learners wrote matric mathematics, in 2011 there was a 16% decline to 104 033, which was accompanied by a one percent fall in the pass rate to 46%. In 2006 the South African government introduced a new compulsory subject called mathematics literacy. An easier alternative to mathematics, maths literacy is increasingly becoming the choice of learners. While this has superficially boosted the matric overall pass rate, it is important to remember that economic growth is largely based on a nation’s scientific knowledge. Compounding the low pass rate is the low minimum needed to pass mathematics and science which should be 50%. Instead, 30% will get learners a pass which does not adequately prepare them for the requirements of tertiary education or the workplace.

The low minimum pass rate and the easier option of maths literacy will not resolve the crisis in South African education and can only serve to compound it.

Parents who are interested in promoting their children’s future can hire a mathematics tutor to ensure learners have a good grasp of the theory and the practical applications of mathematics. Using the correct mathematics tutoring methodologies, tutors will be able to make seemingly complex processes simple, which will boost the learner’s knowledge, confidence, ability and ultimately career opportunities.

It is essential to increase the number of learners choosing mathematics instead of maths literacy, and to ensure learner’s pass well. Improved mathematics marks will provide more opportunity for learners to follow careers in professional fields such as medicine and engineering. This can help South Africa fight unemployment and poverty by increasing the number of professionals in the country. Mathematics tutoring is only a band aid for an education system clearly in trouble. The long term solution to the problem requires the reinvigoration of the education system where school and educational policies are aligned, all schools have adequate resources, ill-discipline is routed out and teachers are properly trained. Only then will learners have adequate knowledge and motivation to succeed.

All of Hire Education’s Math tutors are highly trained and assessed. When your child takes extra Math lessons, the first thing that we do is to look at the problems he or she is having and then assess the best way of correcting them.

Benefits Of Exposing Children To The Nursery System Of Education

India has been prominent worldwide for its highly elevating and enriching education, since the times of Nalanda University, which was the first university offering university system of education to the whole world. In India the education system, starts from the nursery school and goes till higher education. The nursery school is also known as a play school because it is a place where the parents send their child for learning, playing and a bit of preliminary study. When the children are close to 3-4 years old then they are ready to attend this school. Nursery School Education helps in the all round development of the children. Here the child gets to develop a good physique apart from the basic motor skills. It helps a child to develop good health habits, adequate muscular co-ordination and basic motor skills. Through Nursery Education, a child learns how to develop healthy habits and basic skills required for life like dressing up, toilet and cleaning habits.

Parents know how stressful caring for a child at home can be – even their own child – so, rather than worry about how a nanny might cope with a child during particularly trying moments; many prefer to choose a nursery.

One of the advantages is that nurseries offer a structured environment. All nurseries are inspected regularly for registration purposes. This enables the nursery staff to work closely together, while a manager oversees the running of the nursery. A nursery curriculum includes a wide variety of activities during the day to teach different skills, such as singing, dancing and listening to stories. Many parents like the fact that their children spend their days engaged in play activities in a well structured setting.

Through Pre School Education, a child learns to deal with the anxiety of separation from the parents for a few hours in a day. Initially the children are totally dependent on their parents. After getting into a nursery school, they learn how to spend a couple of hours there. At nursery schools, the child gets to play with the right kind of toys, which have educational value attached to them. So in totality, there is a lot of value addition as far as the child’s preliminary education is concerned. Researchers have said that the benefits of reading to a child, playing with numbers and shapes, teaching them nursery rhymes and taking them to the library are directly related to their parents’ income and level of education. Education at a nursery teaches children to adjust into a formal school. At a preschool, a child learns to become confident and independent.

The article above has been posted by a school advisor working with OnlineSchoolAdmissions.Com, a leading portal offering web based school admission solutions to the parents. The portal has a school directory list from where parents can search schools for nursery admissions or nursery admission in Delhi where they want to admit their child. As per their choice, parents also can search for nursery admissions in Gurgaon and can apply to the schools by filling up the application forms online.

What Is The Most Common System Of Educational Grants?
There are different types of grants and their system is highly developed. Each type of grant has its own aim and requirements for applying. It is not a secret that lots of students apply for this or that grant for educational purposes. But nobody even think that this system is very complicated.

All grants can be divided into such groups:

1.Regular grants are offered in different fields of human activity. This type of a grant is distinguished by its constant aim of funding. If this or that grant agency supports students in this particular scientific field it means that the organization will continue its work in this area.

2.Transitional operating support program grants offer support in various sphere. It depends on many circumstances: for example, if one grant agency has been providing funding in educational sphere previous year, this year it may offer its help in a non-educational field.

3.Summer support programs are distinguished for their seasonal work. Such grant programs are activated in summer. For example, students who want to enhance their knowledge in this or that sphere abroad they may apply for one of summer support programs.

4.Nonprofit support programs offer their help to state organizations only.

5.Grants from restricted funds are created on the basis of charities. It means that, for example, a person who decided to make a donation to a school for blind children may become a grant agent him/herself.

6.Application planning grants aims to invest money in those students who may make a contribution for this or that company in future.

7.Evaluation grants are offered only after the moment this or that student has achieved certain results in education. This type of grants is similar to the scientific award and is of no interest for students who need money for education.

Discover the importance of Interactive Response System in Modern Education

Response System are educational technologies that gives the educators an ICT (information and communication technology) edge to quickly gather and assess learner responses to the questions asked during the classroom learning session. An interactive response system is provides interactivity between teachers and students or audience. An interactive response system promotes group activities among audience or students. It aid students in their learning through fun and interactive manner.

Interactive response systems are generally used in the following mode. First, an educator asked questions from his handset in different formats such as yes or no, multiple choice question, numeric, text, alphanumeric etc to the students.

The learners read the question and give their responses to the questions using wireless handsets, which look like mobile keypads.

The Interactive response systems have a receiving device integrated to the educator’s classroom computer that receives the responses of the students, send by their handsets. Interactive response systems software installed on educator computer produces reports in the form of graphic charts such as bar chart and pie chart showing the number of student participated in the test and their answers. Teacher can track individual responses, gather data for reporting and analysis of student using Interactive response systems. The results can be exported to various file formats like excel, PDF, HTML etc. Educators then use these reports to assess the student and improve their learning skills.

Students are more engaged in the lessons and develop team sprit using Interactive response systems. Interactive response systems are modern teaching aids to promote active learning. By delivering lessons in conjunction with Interactive response systems, it is easy to keep the student attentive and focused about the subject during the classroom sessions. Many, schools, colleges and universities now use Interactive response systems to interact with students. Interactive response systems truly can make every session more efficient and rapidly catches the student’s attention. The technological development in this system has made them economical and teacher friendly.

An interactive response system helps teachers to find pattern about what student has learnt and which areas he should improve to get the excellent results for students. It has been scientifically proven that the students who learn through an interactive response system grasp even difficult concepts much more easily than the students who learn lessons using traditional technologies. It has also been noticed that the use of interactive response system helps in improving attentiveness, knowledge retention during session. Even the quiet and shyest student can give his response spontaneously with confidence through interactive response system. It can be integrated with visualiser to ask spontaneous questions.

Explore the use of voting systems in modern education

A Voting system boosts communication of teachers with students by means of carrying tests with mobile like handsets. Students are very much fascinated by these handsets and are extremely excited to take part in tests. Theoretical tests can not assess and evaluate the students correctly. Obtaining excellent marks is not the way of judging the student. He must possess practical skills in these days of highly competitive world. A voting system assists students to develop their skills through employing them in group participation.

Voting systems create interactivity between the presenter and learners. They operate by combining wireless hardware with specific software for educational settings. Presenters can ask their audience questions with presentation slides developed with the voting system software. Learners participate by selecting the answer they think is correct and pushing the matching key on their handsets.

Their responses are then sent to a receiver that is attached to the presenter’s computer. The voting system software gathers the results, and the data is graphically shown within the presentation for all to view. Voting systems help create interactive learning in an enjoyable environment.

In educational settings voting systems engage, motivate and empower each learner. Educators can confirm learner understanding of key concepts immediately, gather opinions and present results instantly. Voting systems help confirm learner ownership of group decisions, measure learning outcomes over time and collect data for reporting and analysis purposes.

They are ideal for promoting inclusion in lessons and group discussion and increase knowledge retention. They also assist users to reduce time spent on producing, interpreting and collating surveys or questionnaires.

LMS Means Quality Education

Education feeds the mind and is the starting point of every human activity. If education is jeopardized especially in the school, then what is the purpose of getting one? If the students are not able to gain knowledge to nurture them for the future, then what achievement do they get from going to school?

In America, the quality of public school education has declined because of the recorded violence that happens during school days. School violence has been listed as one of the serious problems that make excellent curriculum, competent teachers, and great facilities futile because students’ learning is disturbed. Among the recorded and “popular” school violence include bullying, fighting, gang activity, gun use, and locker thefts. Ostensibly, one cannot blame the student attackers who start these kinds of aggression, nor can one condemn the parents for not imposing discipline over their children.

More so, the local government can only do as much to enforce regulations and ordinances to obviate school violence and to terminate it when it happens.

Clearly the school is laden with this vicious problem on violence. In the past, the U.S. Department of Education elaborated that there is no one anti-violence program that could solve the problem across all schools. The system of individual schools can only be suited for a specific academic institution because of demographics; hence, there is no ubiquitous anti-violence intervention, policy, and program.

As the key player to this problem, school administrators can design a program that will potentially dart the issue at core. A solution that can be declared universal is the Learning Management System or LMS.

The LMS is software that tracks, delivers, serves, and manages education and training. Many popular LMS’s are internet-based to assist learning monitoring online, used to cater to different administrative, deployment, and educational prerequisite. It provides a central point for training and learning development work. The LMS can provide quantifiable results – where a classroom set-up may not.

If school violence is attributed to the physical and personal interaction of students, then the LMS is the best solution to disconnect the hostile relationship. Virtual learning can allow a more effective exchange of information among students because it streamlines idle times that would have spent over settling gang fights, for instance. Discussions and learning become focused and intensive because of the absence of unnecessary distractions from the environment. Likewise, the students are trained to become more interactive with a positive sense through the use of multimedia, and other technology benefits; hence turning learning more interesting and effective. Teachers can automatically test the knowledge and competency of the students using the LMS.

A learning management system is flexible and versatile that could resolve the problem of school violence in the country. The LMS has so much to offer which could re-boost the quality of education in public schools. It is in the hands of the school administrators to make things happen and ignite change to uplift the status of education in America.

Discover The Importance Of Interactive Response System In Modern Education
Interactive response systems are educational technologies that
gives the educators an ICT (information and communication technology) edge to quickly gather and assess learner responses to the questions asked during the classroom learning session.

The Interactive response systems have a receiving device integrated to the educators classroom computer that receives the responses of the students, send by their handsets. Interactive response systems truly can make every session more efficient and rapidly catches the students attention.

Children are get much pressure from education. Is that most essessial for their future development?

We believe that education is vital to our children’s lives and we are all trying our best to support children for learning. Besides millions children in low-income countries do not access the quality education system.

In developing countries, many children are forcing to learn and reducting time for playing. The Education pressure push their parent trace for the best teachers, best education centers…with hope children have more chances to get best job in modern challanged society.

With age of 4, Jimmy has attended UCMAS class which believed to increase powerfully brain development at every weekend. The time for that abacus mental arithmetic classs is 2 hours.

But everyday, Jimmy has to do the homeworks 30 mininutes to 1 hour. But it is not easy to meet the requirement for attending the class. Jimmy must know well how to write the number from 0 to 9 for entrance examination.

Not only Jimmy but so many children in his Kindergarten class have to ruch to some education centers at weekend, even at night. They have to learn chess, English writing…dance, drawing, playing music…

Time for enjoy and fun is day by day reducing with them.

Society pressure doe not only push burden on adults, but the children also. In fact, some recent decades, developing countries have make great remarkable pace in economic development. However, the consequence of that pace is vulnerable with some humanbeing.

Not only the time, but the space for children is reducting also.

The more infrastructure raise up, the less area for child. It is not surprised that children spend more time on internet, on game online than playing the outdoor activity. The reality is reducing with them due to all most thing they get just from internet, tivi…Even the summer holiday, children have to attend for extra classs, because their parents are searching for earning. Some girls expresses that only they are sicks, they could be relax and their parent have time to share with them. How poor they are!!!

Learning through educational seminars

Educational seminars are one of the vital tools being used in the educational systems all over the world. They have been used in making the students and the amateurs of a particular field, hone their skills and increase their knowledge regarding the various aspects of the field. This is the reason whether it is the teachers of the high school, the professors at the universities or the gurus, belonging to the various fields of expertise from around the world; make use of the educational seminars to elucidate the various topics. The participants of the educational seminars make use of the related software, presentation, lectures and other modes of communication to help in providing the satisfactory answers to the queries of the audience. These seminars can prolong from a few hours to a number of days. The formal educational seminars on the national and international levels also deal with the sensitive topics like planning a thorough plan for providing education at the grassroots level and dealing with the hurdles in the process. The educational seminars are held not only in the developed countries of the world, but also, in the developing regions of the world, to help the world focus on the needs of education in these areas and to address their issues and concerns in a direct manner.

Most of the seminars dealing with the issues like education and related fields also take into account the critical concerns relating to ghost schools etc., which are rampant in the developing countries.

Other fields too, make use of the educational seminars, by using the same means of communication to elaborate the ideologies and the new findings pertaining to a particular field.

One example of the educational seminars is the phlebotomist skill enhancing seminars where the amateur on job, phlebotomists’ learn ways of drawing blood from the humans and the animals without causing them discomfort. This educational seminar not only includes theory, but, on hands training as well, which encompasses of the trials. The students, professionals take part in the various educational seminars to learn from the knowledge and the experiences of these gurus. Most of the frequent attendees of the educational seminars are the students who wish to study a particular field to the advance levels. The educational seminars are used as a significant tool in many fields. For example on job accounting educational seminars are being used by the employees to use the contemporary means of management through cohesive software into their organizations. These educational seminars train the employees in how to use it instead of the traditional book keeping methods, to manage the accounts and expenditure.
